Capture the work in the form it arrives.

The most advanced input is not always the best one. Choose the method that preserves the facts, keeps the conversation with the right venue, and uses only the background the decision needs.

01 / Guide 05

Choose the fastest method you can still review.

  • Text when the question is already clear and precision matters.
  • Dictation for a floor observation, a handover, or an unfinished thought. Review the transcript in the composer before sending.
  • Realtime voice when live back-and-forth genuinely helps you think through a problem while moving around the venue.
  • Photo or file when the decision needs source evidence rather than a description from memory.

A short deliberate session usually beats leaving voice or a thread open in the background. Stop when the note, decision, or discussion is complete.

02 / Guide 05

Voice follows the same boundaries as writing.

Voice uses the same authorised venue, performance level, and context choices as the written composer. Switching from typing to speaking does not widen what SANDR may see. You can interrupt her while she is speaking and redirect the conversation.

Realtime voice is a public-beta capability. Availability depends on the plan, workspace rollout, supported browser or device, microphone permission, and a compatible audio path. Typed chat remains available when realtime voice is not.

Realtime voice is measured continuously, and lookups made during a live session stay inside the voice charge rather than creating a separate deep-chat debit. Dictation and realtime voice use different published rates. Realtime voice shows its 21-credit-per-minute rate and asks for confirmation before the session starts.

  • Use earphones in a noisy venue when practical.
  • Keep the microphone close enough to separate your voice from room audio.
  • End any other call or recorder already using the microphone.
  • Stop the session when the useful work is done.
Dictation

Best for fast capture you want to edit before sending.

Realtime voice

Best when questions, interruption, and live clarification are worth a continuous meter.

03 / Guide 05

Add the evidence before the message leaves.

Open the composer + menu to take a photo, choose photos, or add a file. Attachments upload immediately and show a preview before the message is sent, so you can confirm the right source is present.

Useful sources include a queue or setup photo, a rota export, a supplier document, a completed checklist, an existing SANDR report, or a written handover. Tell SANDR what the attachment is and what you want checked.

Better instruction

Compare this rota with Friday’s queue note. Separate what the file proves from what still needs evidence, and keep the conclusion inside this venue.

Uploading, previewing, and storing a file does not start AI processing. A successfully uploaded source stays available even if processing is waiting on plan access or credits. Choose Read with SANDR on the preview when you want extraction; the app shows and confirms the fixed 21-credit charge first.

04 / Guide 05

Choose where the thread belongs and what it may read.

A workspace-wide conversation suits authorised portfolio work. A venue-scoped conversation keeps the thread grounded in one place. Confirm the selected venue before sending.

The extra information controls include or exclude Recurring patterns, Knowledge library, Articles, Venues, Check-ins, Plans & tasks, Files & reports, and Calendar. The switches do not spend credits by themselves; they control what SANDR may read for the request.

  • Turn on only the sources that can change the decision.
  • When a relevant source is off, SANDR surfaces that limit and offers a deliberate way to enable it.
  • Quick cannot inspect workspace sources even when their toggles are on.
  • A conversation set to one venue must never show another venue’s protected information. Stop and report it immediately if that ever happens.

05 / Guide 05

Match capability to consequence.

The performance control sets a maximum capability and charge. Auto lets SANDR choose; Quick handles light work without tools; Context reads selected workspace sources and takes safe actions; Deep supports complex multi-step work with confirmation for consequential actions.

Context is usually right when a report, venue history, file, or connected task matters. Deep should earn its place by changing a meaningful decision, plan, or risk response. Do not save credits by removing context a safe answer requires – narrow the question instead.

Current ceilings are shown in the composer, and the published rates are on the rate card.

06 / Guide 05

A complete field example.

  1. Open a conversation scoped to the correct venue.
  2. Dictate: “12:20, table 14 waited 18 minutes after mains. Expo called twice; the second side was still missing.”
  3. Attach the relevant queue photo or shift record.
  4. Include patterns, check-ins, and plans and tasks if they can change the answer.
  5. Choose Context and ask SANDR to separate facts from hypotheses, name missing evidence, and propose one reversible response with an owner and proof.
  6. Review the evidence and the proposed action before committing anything.
  7. Return after the next comparable service and record the result.

Before uploading, remove guest payment details, visible passwords, medical information, and unnecessary employee identifiers.
